Shade-loving foliage, striped and veined in red and white, under a closed bottle. Calathea loves humid air: the closed terrarium gives it exactly that, without you having to mist it every day.

The build
Allow an hour. Layers in order — clay pebbles, activated charcoal, potting soil — then the calathea at the back, the fittonias in front, the moss around their bases.
Care
Partial shade, no direct sun: too much light burns the edges of calathea leaves. The soil should stay moist without becoming waterlogged. Open the bottle for a few hours once a month.
Live plants
The plants leave the grower and travel in an insulated parcel. Open the box on the day of delivery and build the terrarium within 48 hours. If a plant arrives damaged, send us a photo: we replace it.

Move the bottle away from the window: it's almost always too much direct light. Trim the damaged leaf with scissors.
