How to use it
- Pour in a layer (sand, activated charcoal or potting soil)
- Guide the cork head down to the layer, press gently and go around to flatten it
- Repeat for each new layer before planting
What it's for
In a tall bottle with a narrow neck, your hand can't reach the bottom: the tamper packs each layer into place and prevents the air pockets that encourage mould.
