Ask a questionDo I need to add fertiliser?
Not in the first year: the organic fertiliser in the soil feeds the plants for up to 100 days, and a closed terrarium recycles a great deal after that.
Is it enough on its own to make a terrarium?
No. You also need a layer of clay pebbles at the bottom and a little activated charcoal, otherwise the water stagnates and the roots rot.
